Wm. Strickert, Lot 21, Con. 16, Expired Suddenly, Inquest to be Held
The death occurred very suddenly at the family residence, Lot 21, Concession 16, Elma Township, on Saturday evening of William Strickert, aged 49.
The late Mr. Strickert was born in Logan Township where he received his early training as a farmer. For years he followed the same occupation on his farm in Elma, near the village of Monkton. He had not been ailing prior to his death, the news of which came as a great shock to the entire community. He was a member of the Lutheran Church.
He leaves to mourn their loss besides his wife, a family of eight children: Edward, Gordon, Clarence, John, Elizabeth, Ada, Pearl, and Viola.
The funeral will take place on Tuesday afternoon at 1:30; interment in Monkton Cemetery.
Coroner Dr. J. P. Rankin, informed the Beacon that an inquest would be held on Monday next.
