Alyce Louise Omundson Strickert Clark
wife of George Albert Strickert, son of Albert August Strickert, son of Wilhelm Frederich Strickert, son of Johann and Christina Strickert.
ALYCE LOUISE CLARK Alyce Louise Clark, 77, of Mount Vernon went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, February 25, 1998 with her family by her side. She was a resident of Mount Vernon Care Center.
She was born April 16, 1920 in Barnesville, MN the daughter of Swen and Abagail Omundson.
The family moved to Anacortes in 1925. Alyce worked for JC Penney's in Anacortes for 8 years.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, George Albert Strickert, in 1966.
She married Dewey Clark June 18, 1971, in Anacortes and they have lived in Mount Vernon since.
She was a member of Viewcrest Assembly of God where she taught Sunday School and was a choir member. Alyce is survived by her husband, Dewey of Mount Vernon; 3 sons and a daughter-in-law, George Strickert of Anacortes, Robert and Cathy of Anacortes and Steven Strickert of Kodiak, AK; a stepson, Gene Clark of Reidsville, NC; 6 grandchildren and 4 greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Edward and Orlando Omundson and a daughter-in-law, Joanne (Fors) Strickert.
Memorials are suggested to Viewcrest Assembly of God, 830 North 16th St. Mount Vernon, WA 98273.
Alyce's funeral will be Saturday, February 28, 1998 at 1:00PM at Viewcrest Assembly of God Church. Pastor Donald Brown will be officiating. A committal service at the graveside will follow at Hawthorne Memorial Park. Friends may pay their respects Saturday from 9:00AM until 11:30AM at Hawthorne Funeral Home. 108 Funeral and burial arrangements are entrusted to Hawthorne Funeral Home.
