wife of Clarence Strickert, son of Herman Frederich Charles Strickert, son of Friedrich Wilhelm Strickert, son of Johann and Christina Strickert.

SCOTT CITY - Doris Mae Strickert, age 94, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007 at Lake Point Nursing Home, Wichita, Kansas.



She was born on August 1, 1913 in Gridley, Kansas, the daught of Alfred Elroy and Nellie Maude Schlink Darland.  A lifetime resident of Scott City, Kansas until she moved to Wichita in 2000.  She was a school teacher and a cook.

Memberships: First Christian Church, Scott City, and Rebekah Lodge.

On Dec. 31, 1938, she married Clarence J. Strickert in Scott City. He passed away Sept. 22, 1977 in Scott City.

Survivors: two daughters, Debbie Patton, Wichita, Joanne & Jerry Kerschner, Oklahoma City, Ok; two granddaughters, Jennifer Duck, Guthrie, OK, Janelle & Brian Dugan, Wichita; two grandsons, J.D. & Melissa Patton, Wichita, Jon & Ashley Patton, Wichita;
five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one daughter, Marilyn K. Strickert.

Funeral Services: 2:00 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, 2007, Price & Sons Funeral Home, Scott City.  Officiant, Jeff Knighton.

Interment: Scott County Cemetery.

Memorials: Botanical Gardens or Scott County Youth Organization c/o Price & Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation: Price & Sons Funeral Home, 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday.
