SCOTT CITY -- Eileen Strickert, 69, died Nov. 10, 1990, at Scott County Hospital, Scott City.

She was born May 17, 1921, at Scott City, the daughter of Albert and Blanche Singers Schmitt.

A lifetime resident of Scott City, she was a homemaker and also worked in the junior high school cafeteria for over 20 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Worthwhile Workers Extension Homemakers Unit, and served on the board of the Senior Citizens VIP Center, all at Scott City.

On Jan. 21, 1944, she married Floyd Strickert at Garden City.

He survives. Other survivors include: one son, Dick, Wichita; two daughters, Alberta Lucas and Katherine Macy, both of Scott City; one brother, Loren Schmitt, Scott City; one sister, Ramona Claar, El Cajon, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church, Scott City, with the Rev. Dale Clare presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Monday at Price and Sons Funeral Home, Scott City. Burial will be in the Scott County Cemetery, Scott City.

Memorials may be sent to the Scott County Health Care Foundation or the Senior Citizens VIP Center, both in care of the funeral home.
