Ella Reue

LUBBOCK - Ella Reue, 92, died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in First United Methodist Church Chapel in Floydada with the Rev. Les Hall, pastor, officiating, and the Rev. Pat Ginn assisting. Burial will be in Floyd County Memorial Park in Floydada by Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home of Floydada.

Mrs. Reue was born Dec. 6, 1914, in Brenham to W.R. and Ella Strickert Jahnke. She married John W. Reue on July 31, 1938, in Brenham.

Survivors include three daughters, Jodi Carter of Bethel, Maine, Susie Broome of Lubbock and Bobbie West of Pampa; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to First United Methodist Church, 203 W. Kentucky, Floydada, TX 79235.

ELLA REUE Ella Reue, 92, a resident of Lubbock died on December 17, 2006 at Southaven Assisted Living Center in Lubbock, TX.

Mrs. Reue was born December 6, 1914 in Brenham, TX to the late W. R. and Ella Strickert Jahnke. She married John W. Reue on July 31, 1938 in Brenham, TX. He preceded her in death on April 5, 1972. Mrs. Reue was a school teacher and school librarian for FISD and retired in 1984. She also was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, the United Methodist Church and a Sunday School teacher.

She is preceded in death by 1 granddaughter, Sonya West.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Jodi Carter, and husband, Tim, of Bethel, Maine, Susie Broome of Lubbock, and Bobbie West, and husband, Dale, of Pampa, TX. 8 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

Family greeted friends from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 21, 2006 at the First United Methodist Church Chapel in Floydada, TX with Rev. Les Hall, Pastor officiating and Rev. Pat Ginn assisting. Burial will be at the Floyd County Memorial Park in Floydada under the direction of Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home of Floydada, TX. The family suggests memorials to First United Methodist Church, 203 W. Kentucky, Floydada, TX 79235.
