Evelyn Delana Wade, 92, died Thursday, March 15, 2007.
She was born May 26, 1914, in Chicago.
She moved from Panama Canal Zone to Pomona Park, Florida in 1967. She enjoyed going shopping with her friends and travel in her motor home.
Evelyn is survived by her daughters, Deborah Johns and Michele Wade, both of DeLand; brothers, Norman Strickert of Ormond Beach and John Strickert of Satsuma; two granddaughters, Andrea Easterling of Daytona Beach and Melanie Bixby of DeLand; one grandson, Jasen Methax of Daytona Beach; two great-grandsons, Miguel Bahena and Trenton Bixby of DeLand; and one great-granddaughter, Jaylin Milton of Daytona Beach.
Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at the Pilgrim Congregational Church, 111 West Main Street, Pomona Park. In lieu of flowers requests for donations may be made to Florida Hospital Hospice, 770 West Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach, FL 32174.

Mrs. Wade, a homemaker, was born in Chicago and moved here from Miami. She was a former member of Loner on Wheels, a recreation vehicle club. She enjoyed dogs, cats and birds.
Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Johns and Michele Wade, both of DeLand; two brothers, John Strickert, Florida, and Norman Strickert, California; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren;
