John Strickert

John Frederick Strickert, 75, of 7 Moderwell St. died today at the London Psychiatric Hospital.
He was born in Elma Township, son of the late William and Margaret Strickert and worked in Mitchell and Stratford areas most of his life, retiring from Collins and Aikmans.
He was predeceased by a grandchild, Janice Strickert in 1962; three brothers, Gordon, Ed, and Clarence; and a sister, Viola Jackson.
Mr. Strickert is survived by his wife, the former Mary Beatrice Druce; four daughters, Mrs. Clifford (Bertha) Dinns and Mrs. John (Ruthann) MacLeod, both of Woodstock; Marion Frame of Stratford, and Mrs. Garry (Janet) Wolf, of Brodhagen; one son, Roy Strickert, of Woodstock; three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Wivell, of Stratford, Mrs. Ada Sutter, of Milverton, and Pearl Rooney, of Winnipeg; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Friends will received at the Heinbeck funeral hom, 156 Albert St., Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home Monday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Gerd Hoffman officiating. Burial will be in Monkton cemetery. As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association or the charity of one's choice.
