A Colville woman was killed Sunday when she lost control of the 1998 Ford Taurus she was driving and the car flipped on State Route 20.
Four children who were inside the car, ages 10, 8, 5 and 3, all suffered minor bumps and bruises in the crash which occurred at 1:42 p.m. Sunday about four miles west of Kettle Falls in Ferry County, Washington State Patrol Trooper Brad Hudson said.
Lynn C. Flugel, 57, was pronounced dead at the scene. She and all of her four grandchildren were wearing seat belts, Hudson said.
Flugel was eastbound on State Route 20 when her car drifted to the left side of the roadway and went up an embankment. The vehicle flipped over and came to rest on its top in the westbound lane, Hudson said.
