daughter of Clarence Strickert, son of Herman Frederich Charles Strickert, son of Friedrich Wilhelm Strickert, son of Johann and Christina Strickert.

SCOTT CITY - Marilyn K. Strickert, 62, died Dec. 1, 2005, at Mount Hope Nursing Center.



She was born Oct. 2, 1943, in Garden City, the daughter of Clarence J. and Doris M. Darland Strickert. A longtime former resident of Scott City, she was a sales associate at Gibson's Discount Center, Scott City. She belonged to Community Christian Church, Scott City.

Survivors include her mother; her sister, Joanne M. Kerschner of Oklahoma City; nieces, Jennifer Duck of Guthrie, Okla., Janelle Dugan of Wichita, and nephew, J.D. Patton of Wichita; her sister Debra C. Patton and aunt of Jon Patton, both of Valley Center.
 
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Price & Sons Funeral Home, Scott City, with Minister Troy Schroeder presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to service time Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Scott County Cemetery.

Memorials may be sent to the Epilepsy Foundation, in care of the funeral home.
