NORTH PLATTE -- Mark W. Seck, 49, died Sunday (Oct. 2, 2005) at his home in North Platte.
He was born Aug. 16, 1956, to Jerome L. Seck and Evelyn A. Wilson in Olathe, Kan. He graduated from Gardner High School in Gardner, Kan. He received his bachelor's degree in agriculture from Kansas State University.
He married Marsha Miller on Nov. 23, 1991, in Oberlin. The couple made their home in Oberlin before moving to North Platte.
He worked as a switchman for Union Pacific Railroad.
He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in North Platte.
Survivors include his wife, Marsha Seck of North Platte; his parents, Jerome and Evelyn Seck of Gardner; two sons, Gilbert and Jerome Seck of North Platte; one daughter, Christine Seck of North Platte; and two sisters, Rhonda and husband, Terrell Pritts of Little Rock, Ark., and Loretta and husband, Jim Baxa of Manassas, Va.
Services will be Thursday, 11 a.m., at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in North Platte with the Rev. Vincent Parsons officiating. Interment will be in the Oberlin Cemetery.
Visitation will be today, 4-8 p.m., and Thursday, from 8 a.m. until the time of the service, at the church in North Platte.
The vigil service will be today, 7 p.m., at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in North Platte.
Memorials are being accepted in his name for his children's education.
Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin is in charge of arrangements.
