STRICKERT, Mary
Mary Beatrice Strickert of 7 Moderwell street, Stratford, passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on Wednesday, December 15, 1999, in her 90th year.

Born in Port Colburne, she was the daughter of the late Sidney Druce and the former Elizabeth Stockwell. Devoted wife of the late (Friedrich) John Strickert (June 23, 1984). Dearly loved mother of Marion Frame and her dear friend Pete Miller of Stratford, Janet Wolfe and her husband Garry, of Mitchell, Bertha Binns and her husband Clifford, Ruthann MacLeod and her husband John and Roy Strickert and his wife Donna all of Woodstock. Beloved grandmother of ten grandchildren and their spouses and seventeen great-grandchildren.

Mary is also survived by her loving sisters Esther Smith [ See Esther Strickert Smith obituary d. Jan. 13, 2006] of London and Kathleen Crooks of Waterloo and several nieces and nephews and their families.

Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceasedby a granddaughter Janice Strickert (October 22, 1962) and a sister Margaret Murray (July 21, 1999).

Mary was an adherent of St. John's United Church, Stratford.

Relatives and friends will be received at the Heinbuck Funeral Home, 156 Albert Street, Stratford on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, December 18, 1999 at 2 p.m. Pastor Greg White will officiate. Interment will be in Redeemer Lutheran Cemetery, Monkton.

As expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson Foundation, St. John's United Church, the Palliative Care Unit of the Stratford General Hospital or a charity of one's choice through the funeral home at (519) 271-5062.
