Mrs. Charles Strickert
Scott City-- Mrs. Mattie E. Strickert, 74, died unexpectedly Sunday in the Scott County Hospital.
Born March 5, 1894, in Peabody, she moved to Wichita and lived there for thirty years.
She married Earl Maben in 1920 in El Dorado. He died in 1950. She was later married to Charles Strickert Dec. 8, 1955 and moved to Scott City five years ago.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Scott City, and the Rebekah lodge, course 259, OES and EHU.
She is survived by the widower; stepsons Orlles, Dodge City, and Gilbert, Denver, CO; stepdaughter Mrs. onald Messenger, Garden City; sister Mrs. Blanche West, Peabody; 10 step-grandchildren and 3 great step-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be at 10 am Wednesday at the church with the Rev. G. Estel Hines officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Peabody. Friends may call at the WeinmannPrice Funeral Home in Scott City. Graveside services will be at 4 pm.
