Husband of Hilda Strickert, daughter of Edgar Carl Strickert, son of Friedrich Wilhelm Strickert, son of Johan and Christina Strickert.

Thomason, Max Edward, passed away on August 7, 2003 at the age of 81. He was born March 17, 1922 in Carmen, OK to Edward & Gladys (Myers) Thomason.

Max married the light of his life, Goldie Poteet and together they attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. He enjoyed house to house ministry, and loved talking to people that would listen. He was an avid golfer. He retired from Boeing Aircraft with 25 years of dedicated service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a half-brother, a half-sister, son Jerry, and wife of 40 years, Hilda Strickert. He is survived by his loving wife Goldie; son Bob Thomason & wife Margie; and daughter Janet Cohlmia & husband Dennis; half-sister Marie Wakefield; two step-sons: Clifford Poteet & James Poteet; 6 grandchildren; 8 step-grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren' 4 step-great grandchildren; as well as a host of friends and relatives.

Services to honor Max will be at 10:00 AM Monday August 11th, at Vondel L. Mortuary, 6934 S. Western, Oklahoma City, OK. Committal services will be 3:00 PM Tuesday August 12th, at Dighton Cemetery in Dighton, KS. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the world-wide work of Jehovah's Witnesses, attention of: The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2626 SW 89th, Oklahoma City, OK 73159, or your own charity in his honor.
