| Geir H. Strickert of Norway writes
The very first person named Strickert in Norway, settled in our country between 1700 to 1720. He came to a place in Norway called Røros (Roeros), where the coppermining was the only industry.
In the years between 1750 to 1850 this was the greatest industry-place in the northern Europe.
Unfortunately the only missing church recordbook from Røros is the one from 1700 to 1720. This book would probably told from where in Germany the very first Strickert came into Norway.
