Pauline Strickert - Scott City
(May 20, 1930 - March 9, 2010)

Pauline Strickert, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, March 09, 2010 at the Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on May 20, 1930 in Colony, Oklahoma, the daughter of Otto and Lizzie Warkentine Hoock. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1955 moving from Leoti, Kansas, she was a homemaker.

Her memberships include the Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Scott City, Kansas. Pauline enjoyed sewing projects including making items for Park Lane Nursing Home, Scott County Hospital, Holy Cross Lutheran Church, various Lutheran organizations, The Salvation Army, The Red Cross, and many other organizations.

On November 5, 1955 she married Armin Charles Strickert in Scott City, Kansas. He passed away on September 24, 1991 in Scott City.

Survivors Include One Daughter - Carolyn & Randy Wilson of Scott City, Kansas, One Son - Paul & Shirley Strickert of Scott City, Kansas, One Brother - Albert & Mandy Hoock of Corn, Oklahoma, Two Sisters - Namie & Arthur Penner of Weatherford, Oklahoma, Bertha & Floyd Dalke of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Five Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death her Parents, Husband, Seven Brothers and Five Sisters.

Funeral Service will be held the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Scott City, Kansas at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 12, 2010 with Pastor Warren Prochnow presiding.

Memorials may be given tot he Holy Cross Lutheran Church or Western Kansas Child Advocacy Center c/o Price & Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.

Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.

SCOTT CITY - Pauline Strickert, 79, died March 9, 2010. She was born May 20, 1930, the daughter of Otto and Lizzie Warkentine Hoock.

 

On Nov. 5, 1955, she married Armin Charles Strickert. He died Sept. 24, 1991. Survivors include: son, Paul; daughter, Carolyn Wilson; brother, Albert Hoock; sisters, Namie Penner and Bertha Dalke; and five grandchildren.

 

Funeral 10:30 a.m. Friday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Scott City. Visitation 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Price and Sons Funeral Home, Scott City. Burial in Scott County Cemetery, Scott City. Memorials to the church or Western Kansas Child Advocacy Center.
