OAKDALE - Services for Ruby Doyle Strickert were at 3 p.m. Friday in Friendship Baptist Church with the Rev. Millard Monk officiating. Burial was in Occupy No. 1 under direction of White Oaks.

Pallbearers were Sam West, Raymond West, Jonathan Doyle, Patrick Thompson, Brandon Thompson, Michael Gatlin, Lynn Doyle and Carlton Johnson.

PITKIN - Services for Ruby Doyle Strickart will be at 3 p.m. today in Friendship Baptist Church with the Rev. Millard Monk officiating. Burial will be in Occupy No. 1 Cemetery under direction of White Oaks.

Strickart, 68, of Boyce died Wednesday, May 5, 1999, in Rapides General Hospital, Alexandria. She was a native of Pitkin and a member of Clover Leaf Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and a foster parent for the past 22 years.

Survivors include her husband, Ernest Strickart of Boyce four daughters, Rita Thompson of Boyce, Lisa Smith of Cushing, Okla., April Hillard of Alexandria and Christine Donaldson of Tennessee one son, Michael Gatlin of Boyce her mother, Hattie Perkins Doyle of Pitkin three sisters, Emma Lee Reed of Salem, Va., Marie Singletary of Pitkin and Mickey Hooper of Pineville 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call until time of services today in the church.
