Siegfried Strickert -- Ferdinandshorst

Siegfried Strickert Family Siegfried Strickert may be our closest known German relative.  He lives in the village of Ferdinandshorst, which is only 4.5 km. northeast of Weggun, the German home of Johann and Christina Feuerhak Strickert (before they emigrated in 1856).

Herr Siegfried Strickert of Ferdinandshorst, Germany along with wife Ingeburg, and four children.  Daughter Doris Winkler is in Center.  The photo was taken on the occasion of their golden wedding anniversary.

Siegfried believes that his great-grandparents (names yet unknown) lived in Weggun in the early 19th century.  Two of their children were named Wilhelm Strickert (born 1866) and Anna Strickert (born 1873) who moved away from Weggun to Scheifelbein in Poland.

Siegfried's father was Wilhelm Hermann Franz Strickert, born 30 April 1903.  In 1924 he married  Frieda Maason, born 6 June 1903.  Wilhelm had an important position in the DDR.  As a child Siegfriend lived in Schwedt (the largest city of Uckermark located near the border with Poland.)

Siegfried Married Ingeburg Marie Helene Springstein on 7 July 1956.
