Mathilde "Tillie" Strickert Mahler (daughter of Friedrich and Catherine Strickert, son of Johann and Christina Strickert)
Tillie was born in 1881 in Bonholm, Ontario, Canada and moved to Scott City, Kansas with her family in 1893. In 1898, she married Adolph Mahler (born 1862).
 Their only child, Alma, was born in 1905
 Adolph suffered from cancer, so they moved to Mena, Arkansas for treatments with the hot springs. This photo is in 1915, when Tillie's brother Henry and his new wife Minna (second) from right visited them in Mena. Alma is dipping water in center with Adolph on left and Tillie on right.

Adolph died in 1916.

 Tillie in 1932 in Springfield, IL, with her mother Catherine and grandaughter Donna (age 4). Tillie's daughter Alma had died in childbirth in 1928 (see obituary), Donna's father Carl Enz remarried and Tillie his holding his new born daughter Marilyn Enz.
 In 1922, Tillie married Fred Mahler (on left), cousin of her first husband Adolph. Fred Mahler had been previously married to Augusta Strickert who died tragically in 1895. In 1948 Tillie and Fred visited Tilsit, Missouri with Minna and Henry.
